| Wild Rose Pastures, LLC was formed by Janice and Ryan Marquardt on March 13, 2007. We believe in raising chemical-free, antibiotic-free animals who live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Our first year we raised 93 chicken broilers and 28 turkeys on pasture, and we sold out of turkeys by mid-October. We bought 40 acres north of Pella, IA in December of 2007 and moved in May. Ryan graduated from Iowa State University in May 2008 with a Master's degree in Sustainable Agriculture and a certificate in Public Administration. Janice graduated from Iowa State University in August 2008 with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. She coordinates marketing and this website for Wild Rose Pastures, in addition to helping with production. Janice currently works at Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella, IA. |
